I had long harbored a desire to visit the Southwest, but the summertime temperatures are just too high for me, and my brown metal trailer. So I decided to take this year’s summer trip in the Spring. Since the teardrop trailer gathering at Shasta Lake usually starts my camping season, I decided to start my trip there and head south and east on what turned out to be a 4,500 mile, 3-1/2 week journey.
