2016 Tour of the Southwest

This is the entry point and chronological Table of Contents for my tour of the Southwest in May 2016.

Because the blog format puts the last post at the top, if you just start reading here, you’ll get the trip story in reverse order. So start at the top of this page and then just click the Next Post link at the end of each story and you’ll follow my adventure in chronological order.

I had long harbored a desire to visit the Southwest, but the summertime temperatures are just too high for me, and my brown metal trailer. So I decided to take this year’s summer trip in the Spring. Since the teardrop trailer gathering at Shasta Lake usually starts my camping season, I decided to start my trip there and head south and east on what turned out to be a 4,500 mile, 3-1/2 week journey.
